School in a perfect world
Honestly if I could create school in a perfect world, I would. I think school needs to be changed a little bit somehow to fit every child's needs. One thing I would do to make school perfect is that I would somehow have a way that every kid can have their own personal tutor for something. No kid needs to suffer in silence. I don't see how it's fair that a teacher teaches something to a class and expects EVERYONE to know how to do it. It just isn't possible.
Another thing I would do is have school start later but still end at around the same time. This gives kids the amount of sleep they need. Also it would make school shorter. If school were shorter, I think kids would pay more attention. We're young and we don't have the best patients so sitting in a chair all day doing work and listening to the teacher is kind of hard for us.
The last thing I would change is how are grading system works. We get graded on how good we do on something or basically how much we can remember on a certain topic. I think every kid should get graded on their own skill. Not how good they do on something they really don't understand. Yes you can call me crazy for thinking all this but it is my opinion. This would be my perfect school.
Recently I have gotten some advise for highschool. I had to get some advice because I'm going to be a freshman soon. Some advise that I had gotten was from my mom. One of the things she had told me is to not fall into peer pressure. Peer pressure is going to be something we all face in highschool, most of us just have to have the integrity to say NO. I know that we're going to be the youngest ones but we can't just give in. We all know so much better than that.

Another thing my mom told me is to take chances. She said that highschool is going to go by fast so do the classes you really want to. She had also said that getting the harder classes done first while you're in your freshman and sophmore year so that you have your last few years to have fun in. I know some of you might not agree but I think this is great advise.

Random I believe speech
I believe that everyone was made equal. Not the kind of equal where everyone looks the same and gets the same stuff, but the kind of equal where there are no human slaves or racism. Honestly we are all the same. Just because someone is a different color or race doesn't mean that they are completely different.

For example, take a cup of milk and add pink food coloring to it... Now take another cup of milk and put blue food coloring in it. Now taste it. See what I mean now? They are the exact same, taste the same but just because they don't look the same, they get judged. Now equality isn't the only thing I believe in. I believe in a ton of stuff like Jesus the Holy Spirit and to stop bullying. However there is one major thing I believe in and it's called love.

So what I've realized these days are MANY people getting bullied and hated on for being gay. When I say gay, I don't mean the happy kind, I mean the same gender loving eachother. Honestly I don't see a problem with it at all. If you truly love someone then yeah I'd say go for it. I also believe that age shouldn't matter in love. If a 20 year old and a 16 year old are TRULY in love, I think that's fine. I just don't like the whole weird creeper part of some people. However I don't think anything will stop me from believing this: Love knows no flaws or age. Love doesn't judge you, it's society that does. All I can say is to just not care! Don't worry about what people think and just be you!!

Smile for your haters because they love to see you sad. You know you're better than them so you don't have anything to worry about!! :)

Don't worry. It's much more easy to say than to do. Everything happens for a reason and most of the time we can't control it. We can't control it because we can not control what other people do, say, or think. Sadly all we can do is just control how we deal with it. The best thing we can do is to not worry. Worrying causes so many mental and even physical issues. I know getting bad news or going through tough situations are hard. Talk it out with a friend, give it some time, and just remember that everything happens for a reason. You'll end up happy, and if you're not then you know it's not the end yet.

I can not stress this enough: Be Yourself! Don't change for anyone because later in life, they most likely won't be there for you. Yes I know it's hard to think that but honestly only in very rare occasions do people stay together forever (as in friends or relationships). So just be you and don't worry what others think. You were born so we could have your personality on this planet, not for you to try and copy others. Being yourself is the best person you can be! Just live  :)

This is so true. One thing I do a lot is overthinking. It honestly can tear a person apart especially because it makes you dwell on that problem forever. One thing I've learned is to just not care. When I say not care, I don't mean to just go do whatever, I'm talking about just going with whatever happens. Don't worry because if it's meant to be, it will find a way. So don't overthink and don't dwell. Just be confident and think POSITIVE! :)

Okay so today I'm having to post a post about someone's blog I really like. Well I was thinking and I realized how much I like a blog. She goes to my school and her name is Alyssa :) I chose to write about her blog because It's one of my favorites. I enjoy reading her blog because she can say so much stuff that others can't. I agree with her on so much stuff and all of her opinions. I think everyone should go check out her blog:  http://0nlyhuman.yolasite.com/things-goin-on.php. I think you'll all enjoy it :)

I love this quote. I know this is a weird picture with Selena Gomez but I only chose it because I love the quote. It's true. If you want the world or other people to change, YOU must be the change. You can't force other people to change that's why you must. Just thought I'd get that out there. Oh and by the way this quote says: " You must be the change you want in the world ".

So today my first period Computer teacher gave me a blog assignment. The assignment is to talk about what type of disease you would like to cure

There are MANY diseases out there and many of them are very deadly. Honestly if I had the choice, I would cure all of them. I think it's really sad when innocent people get these deadly diseases for no reason. However, if a person was stupid and went out and did something bad and got a disease, I wouldn't feel as bad because they did it to themselves. Okay anywayyy if I were to cure one disease, it would be ALS. I would like to cure Cancer, HIV and AIDS,  and Heart Disease but ALS has people suffer like crazy.

Here are some facts about ALS:
    1. ALS is not contagious.
    2. ALS can strike anyone.
    3. Approximately 5,600 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with ALS each year.
    4. It is estimated that ALS is responsible for nearly two deaths per hundred thousand population annually.
    5. About twenty percent of people with ALS live five years or more and up to ten percent will survive more than ten years and five percent will live 20 years. There are people in whom ALS has stopped progressing and a small number of people in whom the symptoms of ALS reversed.
     6. ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, Charcot's disease, and motor neuron disease (MND), attacks certain cells in the brain and spinal cord needed to keep our muscles moving.

As you can see this disease is an awful thing to get! Honestly I think this disease needs to get more recognition and a cure. This Thursday at my school (April 25th) we are wearing anything Blue or Red to help support this disease. I think it would be a great idea if there was a National day for this disease like there are for cancer. Even if you're reading this and you don't go to my school, you should really participate.

Here's what I'm going to do, if you have an Instagram take a picture of you and your friends wearing those colors this Thursday and tag my user name @monica_graves10 on it. After I see the picture, I will post it on my blog. I really hope people will get the message and actually do this.

I tend to pinky promise a LOT! For some reason I feel that it can be more meaningful <3

This is so true. I love this so much honestly. This is pretty much what this whole summer is about. Play the laughter, make the memories longer, stop the pain, and rewind the happiness! I've never been so excited for summer in my life. I'm mainly excited for June :) <3

What I've learned is that things don't just come easy. You have to work hard to earn them. You're not going to drop two jeans sizes in a day, you can't go out and run a 6 minute mile after not running for a year. I mean I guess if you're really lucky or you have some type of genie then maybe this could happen. Butttt I highly doubt that. I'm sorry for busting your bubble but you're going to have to realize that you actually have to WORK to make things happen. Like the quote "No Pain, No Gain." I agree with this so much. The best things in life don't come easily.

Today is someone who means A LOT to me 16th birthday. I couldn't really think of anything else to put up on my blog today so I decided to post this. Tomorrow I'm going to his party and I'm extremely excited! I hope he has a great birthday! <3

Okay so at my school many people think that Middle School dating is "stupid" or "over-rated". In my opinion I don't care what they think. Their excuse to not date is either because it won't last or their parents won't let them or if they think we are too young. I believe that if you truly love that person then go ahead! Go date them. It's not a big problem. However I do know that there are many immature people in my school. You know, the kinds that think you're weird for dating or the one's who date almost every guy. I know we are young but if you're truly happy then go for it. If two people are happy LEAVE THEM ALONE! Just know thay you won't find true love within a week or so. It takes some time but it actually is possible to find true love at this age. A relationship isn't just to mess around, it's being with the person who makes you happier than anyone else and the person you can't live without. Sorry about me ranting on and on about this subject but I thought I'd just get my opinion out there.

I'm getting pretty sick and tired of those girls who think they're perfect. Those girls who say they never cry, don't eat, get angry, or care. It's honestly ridiculous. They aren't perfect. I'm not perfect. NOBODY IS PERFECT. Some people just need to get a hold of them selves and face reality because acting like that won't get you anywhere in life.

I don't think I've ever been SO excited for summer before in my life! Many great things are happening and I'm ready for it all! Just 2 more months of waiting. I think it'll be worth it :)

If you ever see someone smiling don't just assume they're happy. Not everyone that smiles is happy, they just know how to hide their pain easier than anyone else. All I'm asking is for people to be kind to everyone. Even if they're smiling compliment them. Say something nice. You could make their day 10x better and good karma may come to you!

I have nothing to say. This pretty much just clears it up. Everyone has experienced something from one of these categories because nobody is perfect. Don's settle to be perfect. Settle to be you.

I don't understand why people want to look or be like other people. I'm not sure if you believe in God but I do and he made us all different for a reason. We were not made to copy others. You make a better you than anyone else does. Don't ever change for anyone else and just be happy with yourself. You're all beautiful in your own way!

I can not agree with this enough! This doesn't just go for girls, it goes for guys too. You don't need anyone in your life who doesn't need you. Everyone deserves to be happy and having those type of people in your life will only tear you down. You know you're much better. Just remember to stay strong, move on, and be happy.

So this year, all the 8th graders are having a Desert Dance. This dance is for 8th graders who will be going into high school. The options we have for the dance are: Never land, Glow in the dark, or A night in Hawaii. In my opinion I think we should do a night in Hawaii.I think this would be a better option because it is a more settle theme. A glow in the dark dance would get everyone all hyped up and many people want to dress up. A never land dance almost seems hard to decorate. For a Hawaiian dance we could have palm trees with Christmas lights everywhere or other fun decorations. I have A TON of Hawaiian decorations at my house so I could bring all of them to help out. This was just my opinion and I'm sure people will have different ones. :)
